Artist’s Statement
When I create a work, I create a visual story. Each
sculpture or painting is a unique interpretation of my life experiences
and observations. I feel art should be inspiring, timeless and
memorable
to viewers. Consequently, I strive to create pieces that
connect with my audience on a personal level. My abstract figurative
style emphasizes movement, dynamic lines and exciting use
of
negative space; lending itself to many locations and architectural
situations. I work with durable, lasting materials such as
bronze, stone, acrylics and oils. These materials require little
maintenance
and are ideal for indoor and outdoor settings. I enjoy working
collaboratively with clients to create the perfect signature
pieces for their setting.
My
sculpture ranges in size from maquette to monumental. I have
20 years
of experience as a professional artist, during which time
I have successfully completed work for several public art programs
as
well as private collectors.
